Campus Art

Whether it's a mural, utility box art, or simple flower box art, PASS envisions more campus art where students are part of the creative processes.

We all know art exercises our brain's right hemisphere, where emotional perception, intuition, and creativity take place. For some students, self-expression doesn't come easy; art provides a pathway to inaccessible words.

There are a number of blighted spots on campus, and we strive to let our imaginations take hold and transform those spots into gems and pride. Our 4th Grade Garden is a prime example: Linda Patterson, a Newark muralist, endowed us with her creativity on one prominent wall.

We also have novice art in our Kinder Garden, contributed by kids themselves in the form of caterpillars, lady bugs, and bumble bees. Art is uplifting in all its forms. Art inspires inquisitive minds and feeds new ideas.
